NEW EPISODE IS OUT! LISTEN/WATCH NOW!

There is blood in the water…

I’m going to make a prediction.

I watched the fights this weekend. Andrew Tate, bloodied by a reality TV star. Jake Paul, had is motor mouth broken by Anthony Joshua.

Two empires built on the idea of being untouchable, shattered in a single night.

And as I watched them fall, I couldn’t help but think about this industry.

I believe we are about to see the exact same thing happen to the detailing world.

I think a lot of shop owners are walking around with the same false confidence. They think because the calendar is full, they’re safe. They think because they are "grinding" 12 hours a day, they are building something permanent.

“Our biggest year of growth ever!” I see the post in the Facebook groups, every day. Its usually a comment to a post that says “Is it slow for anyone else”?

Growth does not mean sustainable. Or profitable. It just means busier.

My prediction is that most of them are going to be wiped out in the next 12-24 months.

I say that because I see what’s happening behind the scenes. I see the chaos they are ignoring.

I believe that being 'busy' is the most dangerous drug in this business because it blinds you to the cliff edge you're walking on.

I think that deep down, most guys know this. They feel it at 2 AM. They know one bad month, one key employee leaving, or one aggressive competitor is all it takes to topple the house of cards.

The shops that survive won't be the ones who grind the hardest.

It will be the ones who impose order on the chaos.

I believe the gap is widening. On one side, you have the operators building machines, systems that run without them. On the other, you have the grinders fighting a war against entropy with their bare hands.

My prediction is that the grinders are going to lose. Badly.

The wanna be’s fell this weekend. It was ugly.

But for the shop owners who refuse to build a real foundation, the fall is going to be much worse.

You can keep gambling that I’m wrong.

Or you can build a parachute.

The choice is yours.
